School of Natural Sciences and Mathematics holds 5th Annual Science Conference
The School of Natural Sciences and Mathematics held its 5th Annual Science conference on Saturday, March 19, 2011 in the Dickey Hall Auditorium. The conference is an annual event in which issues that are relevant to the success of Lincoln’s science students are discussed. The theme for this year’s conference was “Shaping your science career”.
The conference was attended by students, alumni, faculty, high school students and staff from partnership institutions. Participants were welcomed by Dr. Ivory Nelson, President of Lincoln University and Dr. John Chikwem, Dean of the School of Natural Sciences and Mathematics. The keynote speaker was Dr. Danyell Wilson, a 2003 graduate of Lincoln University who obtained her Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of Florida.The conference also featured panels from students, alumni and current students. Ms. Regina Clark (class of 2010) attended with twenty high school students.
